To seek admission to the legal profession in NSW on the basis of qualifications obtained outside Australia, an overseas applicant should have:
(a) Completed, or partially completed, a tertiary course leading to legal practice in the applicant's home jurisdiction; and
(b) Successfully completed any additional subjects as required after assessment of the qualifications at (a); and
(c) Undertaken a course of Practical Legal Training, or sought exemption from a PLT course if applicable; and
(d) Met English language proficiency requirements (IELTS).
